The five-person original cast has signed on for the previously announced Broadway transfer of Geoffrey Nauffts' Next Fall. The play will begin previews on February 16 at the Helen Hayes Theatre, with opening night set for March 11, directed by Sheryl Kaller.
Next Fall stars Patrick Breen (Big River, Celebration/The Room, Fuddy Meers) as Adam, Maddie Corman (films such as Sunshine Cleaning, My New Gun, Swingers) as Holly, Sean Dugan (Corpus Christi, BFF, Nerds) as Brandon, Patrick Heusinger (Fiddler on the Roof, TV’s Gossip Girl) as Luke, Connie Ray (Smoke on the Mountain, TV’s The Torkelsons) as Arlene and Cotter Smith (An American Daughter, Burn This, The Dying Gaul) as Butch.
The play takes a witty and provocative look at faith, commitment and unconditional love. While the central story focuses on the five-year relationship between Adam and Luke, Next Fall also forces audiences to examine what it means to “believe” and what it might cost not to.
Next Fall had its world premiere in a Naked Angels production that opened off-Broadway on June 3 at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater and extended three times before closing on August 8. The Broadway production will be produced by Barbara Manocherian, Richard Willis and Anthony Barrile in association with Naked Angels.
